Today I have something very special for you- the official debut of Xayru!
Xayru is a variant of Nayru, with an internal “skeleton” sculpt that requires a fully separate mold, and a further encapsulation process. This debut colorway is an ode to the iconic Irish mythical creature- the Leprechaun! Specifically, this one is modeled after the character from the show American Gods, Mad Sweeney- a down-on-his-luck Leprechaun who is a bit darker and grimier than what we usually expect of Leprechauns. I’ve tried to give this Xayru a complimentary dark tone with a light blood speckle on the face, and a dark/gritty wash that darkens the crevices and gives the inner sculpt a bit more definition. The colors of Xayru also pay tribute to the Irish flag!
